Do you want to help develop new pathways into the healthcare and social care professions? The Department of Individual and Labor Market Affairs (IAF) is now strengthening its operations with teachers for the Adult Education in Healthcare and Social Care program.

The Department of Individual and Labor Market Affairs covers areas such as Adult Education, Children, Youth, and Family, Substance Abuse and Mental Health, and Employment and Welfare. We create conditions for learning and work, improve living situations for those with mental health issues and substance abuse, ensure safe upbringing conditions, and reduce social exclusion. We increase individuals' opportunities for self-sufficiency. We work preventatively, providing the right support at the right time based on individual needs and possibilities. The mission of Adult Education is to train for professions where jobs exist, with a high demand in healthcare and social care. We continuously develop and have a high demand for adult nursing assistant training. We are working to develop the education with a specific focus on validation and language-developing pedagogy for students with Swedish as a second language.

How You Contribute as a Vocational Teacher

You will work with teaching in the nursing assistant vocational package and the tasks included in the pedagogical assignment. The education is flexible with a high degree of individualization, involving collaboration within and outside the teaching team and with actors in the working life. Validation is included as a pedagogical method in the teaching. IT tools and language-developing working methods are also important in the work. Other tasks that may be relevant include collaborating with APL (workplace-based learning) sites within the current vocational area and other vocational areas. This includes close collaboration with the industry and leading development work in the APL area on behalf of the principal.

Your Competence and Experience

You have an academic education as a vocational teacher and/or are a qualified registered nurse, giving you high subject competence to teach in the various subject areas of the vocational package.

The tasks require good knowledge of the industry, and you have several years of work experience in healthcare and social care.

The work requires a good ability to find individual solutions and very good collaboration skills with colleagues and management, where we work together to find solutions and achieve operational goals.

Other qualifications:

• Ability to work in a changing organization with varying assignments.
• Pedagogical experience from working life, where the applicant can describe how they create learning environments for participants.
• Ability to work based on laws and regulations and lead the pedagogical assignment.
• Ability to work with public authority exercise, make decisions, and work based on decisions.
• Contribute to and take responsibility for a good working environment and have a team mindset that includes all professional functions.
• Your professional background complements the work group and the immediate teaching team.
